1 – Hop into the Zoo

The Robot Zoo just asked you to be their new Zookeeper!

In this unit, you will make all kinds of mechanical animals for the Robot Zoo. Warning: it’s not your average zoo!

Before going to work as the new zookeeper, make sure you have completed the “Milo on Mars” unit. If you haven’t, click here. If you did, then you’re smart and independent, and you’ll figure out how to run the zoo even though there aren’t as many hints and tips in this unit. There will be some tricky programming, but you can do it!

Let’s Hop to it by starting off with the Frogs!

This zoo has 2 different species of frogs. One frog will make a sound when something gets close. The other will make a sound when it is moved.

There are pictures of TWO programs. Try them both. Hint: on the one with two start buttons, push them both. What’s the difference?
