YouCanTech’s mission is to make technology approachable and accessible for all kids. We want to get rid of the idea that coding is for “wiz kids” like the nerdy super-powered hacker character in movies and TV. Our goal – you and us together – is to give them the opportunity to freely explore, create, and express themselves with technology.

Curriculum
YouCanTech’s curriculum has been developed and field tested for over a decade with great success. Your child will actually use and learn about the same concepts found in real-life software and database coding development such as logic, loops, parameters, if-then statements and more! However, we do it with fun, narrative adventures such as “Milo the Mars Rover” and the “Robot Zoo”. Let’s show them the fun of creating with technology!
Results
Children who have participated in our programs have gone on to successfully pursue STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) careers and education. We have had a strong, long-standing relationship with the Charlotte Mecklenburg School District (CMS) since our founding and have also partnered with other reputable and fantastic organizations such as Charlotte Mecklenburg Libraries and Blacks In Technology – Charlotte Chapter.
How Does It Work?
Using our 10+ years of experience, we’ve created a school robotics club for your home! YouCanTech combines the best aspects of remote learning and hands-on learning to create an experience for your child that is effective yet adaptable and flexible to fit your needs. YouCanTech is best for all children ages 7 to 12. Tuition is $80, payable through PayPal, Venmo, or CashApp (Contact for other means of payment).
When you sign up, you get:
- A LEGO robot set, sanitized and delivered to your door, for their use for two weeks. After the 2 weeks, simply mail it back with the return shipping label!
- A 45-minute online video call intro with one of our coaches for you (the parent) and your child. You’ll make sure everything is working to get your child started with confidence.
- 2 30-minute live coaching sessions for when they’re stuck or need motivation
- 3 Engaging Storylines: Milo the Robot on Mars, Robot Zookeeper, and Auto Engineer
- Online building and programming instructions and extra bonus challenges!
