8 – Deep Sea Hunting

Sharks can detect vibrations from other fish up to 330 feet away; that’s almost the length of a whole football field! Here’s how to build a robot shark that can also detect vibrations:

Once you have built the shark, make a small fish and build the motion sensor into it. Program the shark to swim slow when the fish isn’t moving and swim fast when the fish is wiggling. Use the “wiggle” setting on the motion sensor to make this program.
The the motor only turns one direction, but the shark’s motion changes direction right-left-right-left. Do you see how that happens?
