No Crash Truck

Have you ever wondered what cars will be like in the future? Maybe there will be flying cars! Some scientists and engineers today are making cars that drive themselves! Here’s a cool video about self driving cars.

Let’s try making our own version of the car in the video by making a truck that doesn’t crash!

Our LEGO robots have a lot of the same parts as the car in the video. We have wheels, computers, and sensors too! Now we need to tell our truck how to use its wheels and sensors. Use the instructions below to code your truck.

Once your truck is ready to roll, press play on your program. When your truck stops in front of an obstacle, help it out by removing it yourself so it can keep going until the next obstacle. Be careful not to let your truck fall off a table!!

Which block(s) tell the truck to go forward? Which block(s) tell the truck to stop? Which block(s) tell your truck to back up? Why does the truck keep going after the first obstacle instead of just stopping?
